Corporate Entrepreneurship
and why do you need it?

Businesses are confronted with increasing complexity and an uncertain economic and political environment. Classic business processes that worked in the past are no longer meeting today’s demands. Technological progress has disrupted and will be turning entire industry sectors upside down. All these factors increase the need of businesses to:

  • Drive Growth from within
  • Create new products and services
  • Find new cooperations
  • Activate the entrepreneurial spirit of your team
  • Innovate your processes and dig for innovation right in front of you.

Nevertheless, companies usually see challenges with their innovation and corporate entrepreneurship activities which are usually caused by not wanting to lose the status quo, fear of change or feeling insecure, misunderstandings, etc. Learn here what you can do about it.

Absolutely I would like to mention that I enjoyed the guest lecture by Martina. This gave us different perspectives and insights. In Martina's guest lecture, I especially remembered the art of empathically putting yourself in all sides' shoes. Particularly in innovation and change processes, it is important to stakeholders and to manage their opinions and knowledge. Jede Person da abzuholen, wo sie steht.

Finally, I would also like to highlight the simulation that we did with Martina. In my case, it was interesting to put myself in the role of co-founder and interact with our colleagues to try to make the negotiations come to fruition. The most significant learning from the case study is that, when presenting a new idea, it is extremely important to know what the stakeholders' interests, goals, gains, pains, thoughts, and feelings are. In a few words, you need to put yourself in the shoes of each of the stakeholders to be better positioned when negotiating

Most interesting I found the "corporate entrepreneurship case game" with Martina. The interaction and getting involved and putting yourself out there was a great experience. Especially having the first round, getting feedback and self-reflection, and after that having the last round of discussion.
